In my artistic research I follow the path of fashion disembodiment, how a piece of clothing “behaves” separated from the human body and how we, as their owners and users, accept them in a different context. my research examines fashion as a living archive, exploring how erosion can amplify personal or collective narratives embedded in clothing. The study provides new understanding of how context shapes perception, determining whether a fashion object is interpreted as clothing, commodity or art. Fashion is often studied through utility, identity or consumerism. My research suggests that it is a fluid entity that shifts between function and artistic autonomy. Fashion is traditionally linked to the body. The research offers a fresh perspective: disassembled, fragmented or eroded beyond wearability. It will hopefully give new insights about how garments can be perceived beyond their original purpose, exploring their symbolic, material and sculptural qualities.

“Clothing without a Body” is a series of fashion objects contemplating the transformation of clothing into an alternative state. The life cycle of clothing is rethought, from becoming a second skin to becoming a corpse when it is thrown away/thrown away. The hanger gives importance to the clothing, keeps it in a respectful display. A garment that is no longer worn loses its value. The desperate wrapping of an unnecessary garment, as if its skin had been torn off, around the hanger makes IT more important than the garment…

Permąstomas drabužio gyvavimo ciklas, nuo tapsmo antrąja oda iki virsmo išnara jį nusimetus / išmetus. Pakaba sureikšmina drabužį, laiko jį pagarbioje demonstracijoje. Nebedėvimas rūbas jos netenka. Desperatiškas nereikalingo, tarsi oda nudirto rūbo apsivijimas aplink pakabą JĄ sureikšmina labiau nei drabužį…
