doctoral artistic research exploring fashion as an artistic media. I examine fashion artifacts (ready-made) as relics of a consumer society that critically reveal its contradictory nature.

The exhibition “Costumes & Contemplation: On Religion”  explores the individual’s connection to the transcendent. Through a narrative thread, it explores faith-based stories, events, and religious experiences that have influenced and shaped the designers’ perspectives and creative expressions. The exhibition aims to reveal the diverse experiences connected to the spirituality of each designer. Objects created specifically for this exhibition reflect the artist’s personal connection to  the sacred  and  the profane , tangible experiences that are difficult to define in words alone. The presentation includes works by fashion design faculty from Poland, Lithuania, and Slovenia, representing the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius, and the University of Maribor.  The exhibition is the second in the “Costumes & Contemplation” series.
